Head of State proposes to hold quarterly National Popular Consultations for communal projects

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that the National Popular Consultation 2024, to promote the active, democratic and leading participation of communities in the execution of works that contribute to improving their quality of life, is part of a form of Government.

“It is the first step towards a new form of power, towards a new civilization, where in such complex, inhabited cities, we can build the network of popular empowerment, the force of self-government,” said the National President during the Con Maduro+ program.

He stressed that resources have to go where popular projects are, from the grassroots directly, without bureaucracy. “I propose that these consultations be held quarterly so that communities can add projects during this period,” he said.

“We have to give birth to resources, then we will give birth to them, so I ask for the support of governors, mayors and private companies because that is to solve problems for communities,” said the head of state.
