Head of State: The XVII FITVEN 2024 held in Táchira was a total success

For five days, the state of Táchira was the world capital of tourism with the 17th edition of FITVEN 2024, which brought together more than 300 tour operators, which highlights the total success of the tourist fair, a “total success”, said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

“The Venezuelan Andes have become a great tourist attraction,” he said.

Also, in the More Tourism segment, in the 69th edition of his program “With Maduro+”, the head of state officially launched the website From Venezuela to the World!

In this regard, he said that “with the help of the Marca País Institute, to show our tourist potential and also a tool for foreigners who want to come and see our territory, they can plan their trip”.

“With brotherhood we are building peace, we can be a community of shared destiny. Thanks to everyone who visited our country at the XVII FITVEN Táchira 2024,” he said.

He extended the invitation to China, Russia, India, Cuba, and Türkiye to invest in Venezuela in the tourist area, “to create perfect conditions so that any brother from these countries can come and enjoy Tachira, Mérida, the beaches, the Gran Sabana”.

For her part, the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, in offering a summary of the event, reported that different agreements were reached with countries that were present at FITVEN.

He noted that up to November of this year, there has been an increase in international tourists of more than one million, representing a growth of 69% over the same period, compared to 2023.

In his speech, the governor of the state of Táchira, Freddy Bernal, asserted that after FITVEN 2024, it was possible to break the bad opinions that Venezuela is destroyed.

The president of the Instituto Marca País, Daniella Cabello, also expressed her gratitude for having participated in the event, “also for having involved us in the development of this great tourism fair in Venezuela.”

“Without a doubt, it was an expression of what we are, of what we want to project to the world, in that task of wanting to show ourselves to the world with the truth of Venezuela, which has been his clear instruction (President Maduro),” he said.
