Head of State to elected opposition mayors: I congratulate them and call on them to respect the Communal Power

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, congratulated the 50 opposition candidates who were elected as mayors in these municipal elections.

“Some 50 opponents have won the mayor's office from here as head of state and head of government, I congratulate the 50 opposition mayors who have won in Venezuela,” he said.

He also urged them to work and to respect the popular organization that has developed in every inch of Venezuelan territory.

“ I call on them to respect communal power, communal circuits, communes,” he said.
