Head of State: We have managed to neutralize 402 drug trafficking planes, Venezuela alone!

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported this Thursday that state security agencies have succeeded in neutralizing 402 aircraft used for drug trafficking.

From the Presidential Command Post, in the Miraflores Palace, during an act to strengthen the Peace Quadrants, the head of state recalled that, according to data from the United Nations (UN) and several organizations around the world, only 5% of Colombian drugs attempt to pass through Venezuela.

“And I can tell you, to that 5% what we give is stick and lead. Thanks to the popular, military and police fusion. We give him lead. And of that 5%, seizure levels exceed 70%. And I am sure that we will reach 100% and Venezuela will be territory free from the cultivation of coca leaves, as it is today; it will be free territory, as it is today, from the production of cocaine; and it will be territory 100% free from the passage of any form of drug trafficking,” he said.

He stressed that “we have managed to neutralize 402 drug trafficking planes! Only Venezuela! Thanks to our modern law that we approved in 2015 and thanks to our glorious Bolivarian Military Aviation and our glorious Bolivarian National Armed Force,” he emphasized.
