This Wednesday, September 3rd, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said that “we have to study what happened to the Chinese people from 31 to 45 and how they were surprised with a horrible, criminal invasion, the methods of rape and torture that remained in a dark legend forever and how the Chinese people resisted defending their history, identity and land.”

At the ceremony commemorating the global anti-fascist triumph and unveiling of a monument in his honor in Caracas, he said that “today marks 80 years since the great helmsman Mao Zedong and the People's Liberation Army achieved the greatest Chinese national alliance of all political, social, historical and religious sectors in China to create what is now celebrated as the great victory of the Chinese people against fascists, criminals”.

He specified that the “victory was achieved thanks to the union. Today, 80 years have been commemorated that victory thanks to the unity of all of China, which saved history and recovered more than half of the territory they had lost.”

The Head of State pointed out that “we have come in perfect union between the Venezuelan people and the Bolivarian government to say congratulations to the Chinese people, these are 80 years of well-earned history”.

The event was attended by Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez; Sectorial Vice President of Science, Technology, Education and Health, Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez; Vladimir Padrino López, Sectorial Vice President of Defense and Minister of People's Power for Defense; His Excellency Mr. Lan Hu, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Venezuela; and Antonio Hernández Lárez, Strategic Operational Commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces.
