During his participation in the Extraordinary Plenary of the V Congress of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and the IV Congress of the JPSUV, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, confirmed that the Venezuelan People and Government are committed to peace without domination or guardianship.

“We want to preserve the Peace of the Continent, but Peace with independence, with freedom, not the Pax Romana of submission, no, it is the Peace with dignity and self-determination of the Peoples, it is the Peace that we have conquered, it is the Peace that we have defended and it is the Peace that will triumph,” he said.

Addressing the People of the United States, the President questioned them: “Do the People of the United States want a war on our Continent? Do the people of the United States support a war in South America? Do the people of the United States support the opening of several Vietnams on the Continent? Do the people of the United States approve of the massacre of a South American people?”

In this regard, addressing the elites who promote a military escalation against Venezuela with a view to an invasion, he warned them: “Don't dare because you are going to regret it!”
