Héctor Rodríguez: 6 million students return to classrooms this Monday

This Monday, September 15, more than 6 million children and adolescents returned to classrooms with the start of the 2025-2026 school year, said the Minister of Education, Héctor Rodríguez.
During the delivery, together with President Nicolás Maduro, of the rehabilitation of the Achelpohl Urban Educational Unit in Caracas, Rodríguez explained that for this new school year, 400,000 new children are being added, compared to the previous period.
It also reported that during school holidays, members of the Bolivarian Student Organization (OBE), teachers, school directors and members of community circuits were deployed in communities to detect children and adolescents who are not enrolled in the education system.
“During this deployment, more than 110,000 children and young people were detected who were not in school. We are doing everything to incorporate them into the system,” said the minister.
On the other hand, he noted that for the beginning of the school year, more than 200,000 teachers are participating in a process of ongoing training, in different areas of knowledge, to raise educational quality in the country.
