The head of the Presidential Commission for the Restructuring and Reengineering of the Government, Héctor Rodríguez, called on the country's intellectuals to “assume a leading role” in the task of building a new paradigm in government management.
In this regard, according to a press release, he proposed to them to create a permanent working table throughout the country to, from a pedagogical perspective, explain the task of the Commission and help to compile proposals to make progress in the construction of the report with recommendations that will be delivered to the Executive.
“For this task of presenting a proposal for the reorganization of the national government, we need, among other things, to systematize the research that exists on the subject and open a dialogue with all social actors, so that they can tell us what they think this process should be like, so your participation from your knowledge spaces is important,” he remarked.
The debate was attended by Professor Yadira Córdoba, who proposed that restructuring should not be seen as a task with an expiration date, but as a “continuous process” due to its complexity.
He also urged that every decision take into account the national geopolitical reality. “It is not possible to carry out a reengineering behind the historical moment; the work must be designed to effectively face the conjuncture and continue to build collectively,” said Córdoba.
