HIDROVEN repairs a 12-inch pipe fault in the Las Gonzáles sector of Mérida

In order to optimize and guarantee the continuity of the supply of drinking water, the Ministry of Popular Water Power was deployed in the Las Gonzales sector, in the San Juan parish of the Sucre municipality of the state of Mérida, to resolve an incident detected in the local distribution network.
The technical team located a fault in the 12-inch diameter adduction pipe that supplies the Villa Libertad water treatment plant, and carrying out a technical intervention where a four-meter-deep excavation was carried out to access the pipe and proceed with the necessary welding and repair maneuvers.
After 14 hours of uninterrupted work, the specialized personnel completed the repair, allowing the recovery of the flow of 60 liters per second, directly serving more than 7,500 families in this parish, according to the press release of the Ministry of People's Water Power.
The resident of Villa Libertad, Yaneth Rojas, thanked the work carried out, since the drinking water service comes with better pressure at this time.
These actions are carried out under the guidelines of the national Government, reaffirming the institution's commitment to the provision of efficient and quality services for the entire population of Merida.
