Honduran President called on the People to defend democracy in that country

Before a crowd that gathered in Tegucigalpa, as a gesture of support and rejection of coup attempts, the president of Honduras, Xiomara Castro, reaffirmed her commitment to guarantee fair elections in 2025, while warning of attempts at political destabilization in the country.
In a strong speech, Castro highlighted the importance of defending democracy in that Central American country, while highlighting the achievements of his administration to date.
“I invite the working class to defend our democracy,” proclaimed President Castro, stressing her determination not to allow a new coup d'etat to be organized in the Central American country.
In addition, as reported by Telesur, it reaffirmed its commitment to electoral legitimacy and citizen participation.
Castro also mentioned that more than one million farmers have received seeds and fertilizers thanks to the promotion of the technological pole as part of efforts to improve agricultural production and ensure food for the rural population.
Education and health were also central points of his speech. Castro highlighted that more than a million children now have free access to education and that numerous health centers are being repaired across the country.
In addition, the Honduran president announced the distribution of thousands of scholarships and support for youth to access sports facilities, seeking to strengthen the integral development of the new Honduran generations.
