The prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Karim Khan, confirmed this Tuesday the popular organization in Venezuela and the support for the country's communities by the Bolivarian Government, headed by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

At a joint press conference with the Venezuelan head of state, from the Miraflores Palace, Khan reported that during his stay in Caracas he visited Petare parish, specifically the Simon Rodriguez Mission Base, “where communities come together to help each other, when they have faced economic difficulties. I saw children on their day of school and supporting communities.”

He noted that he also visited La Vega parish, where he had “the pleasure of talking to some fantastic women, in a Venezuelan NGO called Tinta Violeta, which focuses on women who have been victims of domestic violence; they have a very important motto, I thought it was wonderful, which is 'a woman who works will never be afraid of a man'”.

In this regard, he urged the promotion of a men 's initiative against domestic violence, “because for the most part men are the gender that commits the vast majority, an overwhelming majority, and to say that this is something to be ashamed of, where the nature of a man uses it to attack the mothers of the Fatherland. I think it's something that has to be strongly criticized with your support, Mr. President.”
