The National Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents Autonomous Institute (IDENNA) celebrates with emotion 18 years of uninterrupted work in the defense and promotion of the collective and diffuse rights of children and adolescents in Venezuela.
Although its beginnings date back to 2000, as the National Council for the Law of Children and Adolescents (CNDNA), it was on December 10, 2007 when it was renamed the Autonomous Institute, reinvigorating its tireless work to guarantee the well-being and integral development of those who represent the future of the country, promoting public policies aimed at their protection, participation and well-being.
In these 18 years, IDENNA has implemented various plans and programs focused on guaranteeing children and adolescents the enjoyment of the rights contemplated in the Organic Law for the Protection of Children and Adolescents (LOPNNA) with special emphasis on family unity, education, health, food and recreation.
Among them is Plan +Love, Together We Can, Together It's Possible! , an initiative created in 2025, which seeks to guarantee comprehensive care for children and adolescents through days developed in communities. In addition, the Surrogate Family program stands out, in connection with its relaunch last November as part of Family Month.
In this new year, with the help of its president Soraida Ramírez and in compliance with the instructions issued by the head of state Nicolás Maduro, IDENNA workers reaffirm their commitment to continue building plans and programs that, filled with love, solidarity, empathy and responsibility, contribute to the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents.
