The State Railroad Institute (IFE) reported that 8,817,269 passengers used the system during the first half of 2026, the Ministry of People's Power for Transportation reported.
In this regard, the ministry indicated that the continuous operation of the trains was supported by preventive and corrective maintenance plans on the track superstructure and on the rolling stock, so the technical crews carried out tasks that reduced waiting times and ensuring operating conditions in traffic.
In parallel, the IFE developed direct care actions for users through the Office of Citizen Services and station staff, so that a permanent deployment was maintained to guide the population and promote compliance with the rules of coexistence on the platforms.
Railway personnel also participated in technical training processes at the National Railway School, which strengthened internal projects and consolidated capacities for system management.
With these results, the IFE reaffirmed its line of work within the framework of the guidelines of the Ministry of Popular Power for Transport and maintained its commitment to national mobility.
