Marking a new milestone in the model of participatory and leading democracy in Venezuela, the people of Amazonas said they were present at this historic day where the people, with their vote, choose the judges of the peace of their community.

In a process where every Venezuelan over 15 years of age could participate, the inhabitants of the southern entity of the country stood in long lines at the centers set up by the National Electoral Council (CNE) for this process.

“This is for the world to see, those who say that Venezuela has a dictatorship, that in Venezuela we are doing the wrong way, also value what is happening today where an entire people are voting for the judges and justices of the peace, which is nothing other than voting for the peace of our Republic, which is what all Venezuelans most yearn for,” said the governor of the state of Amazonas, Miguel Rodríguez after exercising his vote in the Commune of November 27.
