In Pariaguán, Anzoátegui state, a new Ordinance for Citizen Coexistence and Civism has been implemented

With the purpose of consolidating a culture of peace, respect and harmony, the mayor of the Francisco de Miranda municipality in the state of Anzoátegui, Ángel Vásquez, enacted the new Ordinance for Citizen Coexistence, designed to govern human and neighborhood relations throughout the jurisdiction.

This legal instrument establishes the basis for citizenship, communal justice and peace, and the protection of the inhabitants and visitors of the municipality.


The primary purpose of the ordinance is to guarantee the enjoyment of public and private spaces, to ensure order and to promote public safety. Its key points include:


Promotion of Civism: Encourage ethical behaviors that prevent alterations to social peace and respect for public goods.


Environmental Protection: Regulation of annoying noises, sound pollution and the prohibition of the burning of waste or vegetation.


Road Safety: Strict control over the use of motorcycles (helmets, speed limits, pirouettes and schedule) and the prohibition of driving under the influence of alcohol. 
 
Failure to comply with these rules will result in corrective measures and sanctions calculated according to the official exchange rate of the highest-valued currency set by the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV).


Most offenses, such as obstructing traffic or generating pollution, involve fines of fifteen (15) times the BCV's highest value currency, and acts such as conducting unauthorized car and motorcycle races will have a penalty of sixty (60) times the exchange rate referred to.


Offenders may choose, as the case may be, to carry out community work aimed at the integration and well-being of society. 
 
With this step, the Francisco de Miranda municipality reaffirms its commitment to social justice and peaceful coexistence, inviting all citizens to be protagonists in the construction of an exemplary and orderly municipality, framed in the Miranda Próspero government program.
