In Sucre! Former prosecutor arrested for extortion and corruption

The State Security Corps apprehended the 2nd environmental prosecutor in the state of Sucre for being involved in crimes defined in the Anti-Corruption Act.

This was reported by the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, through his Instagram account, where he highlighted that the former official, identified as Ygnacio José López Arias, was arrested after he was accused of extorting a person in exchange for solving a case.

In this regard, the head of the country's criminal case explained that the detainee will be brought before the permanent courts to be charged with having committed irregularities sanctioned by our legal system.
