In Zulia, the Ministry of Health provided medical care to more than 28,000 indigenous people

A total of 28,200 members of five indigenous ethnic groups present in the state of Zulia, received comprehensive medical care in 46 days held in that entity so far in 2024.
According to a note released by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), to date 1,960 people have been vaccinated; 2,455 doses of vaccines dispensed; 183 educational sessions; the transfer of 27 patients from foreign municipalities to hospitals in the metropolitan area and the care of 536 social cases.
2,368 patients benefiting from National Surgical Plan sessions were also reported, with interventions that were channeled with the support of the Situational Health Room of 1x10 of Good Governance.
The above-mentioned days reached original communities such as Wayúu, Añú, Japreira, Barí and Yukpa, located in the municipalities of the Guajira and Perijá subregions.
