With the objective of strengthening the capacities of its team, the Infocentro Lara network held a training day on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) and STEAMH (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics and Humanities) educational methodologies.
The conference, held at the Lara Mega Infocentro, was aimed at all state facilitators and teachers in computer and robotics rooms.
The intention of these training workshops, according to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), is to provide facilitators with new tools so that they can offer more dynamic and complete teaching, aligned with the most innovative educational trends.
During the training, participants were offered an initial theoretical presentation, participatory classes, team dynamics, and feedback and practice sessions. This approach allowed facilitators to immediately apply the knowledge acquired, which encouraged collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
The methodologies addressed -STEM, STEAM and STEAMH- seek to promote critical thinking, creativity and problem solving in an interdisciplinary way.
