Authorities in Larense presented this Tuesday the schedule of festive activities for the Lara 2026 Carnival festivities, which include cultural and sports activities for the whole family.

The governor of the state of Lara, Luis Reyes Reyes, reported that the activities will begin on Thursday, February 12, with the contest for the election of the Carnival Queen, at the Juares Theater in the twilight city. Later, on Friday the 13th, the Carnival Cry will take place, a mobilization that will include more than 1,600 students and street bands from the central-western city.

On Saturday, February 14, the capital of Larense will host more than 50 cultural groups and 16 floats, parades that will culminate in the El Obelisco Monument. For its part, the municipality of the state capital, Barquisimeto, will offer a comprehensive
program, which will combine children's evening activities, with a first-rate artistic lineup.

For their part, the security authorities asserted that the internal order and integrity of citizens will be guaranteed. 11,160 personnel from the various citizen security bodies and the Bolivarian National Armed
Forces
(FANB) will be deployed in operation with 670 vehicle units, strategically distributed in 17
resorts, 10 national parks and the main road trunks.

The regional authorities added that for these carnivals, social tourism routes have been arranged to emblematic destinations, such as Yacambú, Arenales and the Archbishop's Waterfall, thus democratizing access to recreation, and exalting the natural wealth of the Larense soil.
