International investment of more than 40 million dollars will boost cardboard factories in the country

An international investment of more than 40 million dollars will begin the recovery and modernization of national cardboard plants, in a project coordinated with the Executive Vice Presidency of the Republic; the Ministry of Popular Power of Industries; the Ministry of Popular Power for the Social Work Process and the International Center for Productive Investment (CIIP).
Published on the website of the Ministry of People's Power of Industries, he explains that the plan contemplates the modernization of equipment and the incorporation of new technologies, with the objective of guaranteeing job stability and strengthening domestic production.
The initiative seeks to meet domestic demand for cardboard packaging for the food, pharmaceutical and mass consumption sectors, significantly reducing dependence on imports.
In addition, the project is expected to generate hundreds of new direct and indirect jobs, bring dynamism to the domestic industry and open up the possibility of exporting surpluses in the medium term, making the cardboard sector a strategic link in the country's productive chain.
During a visit to the cardboard plant located in Petare, the Minister of Industries and president of the CIIP, Alex Saab, said that, “by December, this plant will be producing at 80% of its capacity”.
“While others sell lies about the country, we continue to invest and grow, strengthening the national industry, always under the leadership and guidelines of President Nicolás Maduro,” he emphasized.
This investment is part of the strategic import substitution plan promoted by the head of state, which consolidates the country's productive sovereignty and opens up new opportunities for economic development.
