INTT calls on insurers to optimize management of off-road vehicles

The National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT) convened representatives of insurance companies to work actively in the review and management of vehicle incidents.

The proposal, according to a press release replicated by VTV, seeks to perfect the process of disintegrating vehicles that, despite being out of circulation, are still registered in the insurance and INTT systems. This procedure is essential to determine the final destination of such cars and to ensure that the protocols established by the competent authorities are complied with.

In addition, the organization of mechanisms for the sale of decommissioned vehicle parts, with the objective of improving operational efficiency without violating current regulations.

As part of the action plan, a detailed audit will be carried out at each insurer to verify compliance with regulations. This process seeks to prevent sanctions and reinforce institutional commitment to responsible management of vehicles out of service.
