The National Institute of Land Transportation (NTT) will reinforce road safety protocols, in order to increase the efficiency of technical deployment during Holy Week, following a strategic meeting to evaluate mobility policies 2026.
The meeting, led by the vice-president of the institution, Willian Blanquis, had as its central axis the design of a national plan to guarantee safe and responsible mobility that involves not only the days off during the major week, but will cover the second quarter of this year.
The planning responds to the instructions of the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, and the sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, the INTT reported on its Instagram account.
During the plenary session, engineering and technology managers detailed the supervisory procedures that will be applied to safeguard seasonal workers through a constant presence of officials on road axes.
Based on the results obtained during the past Carnival operation, general managers and heads of technical offices coordinate efforts to raise standards of surveillance and control in the country's main arteries.
In this regard, the INTT is making progress in implementing technological innovation and road infrastructure improvements planned for the second quarter of the year, in compliance with the National Road Safety Plan.
The objective is to optimize the institutional response to the flow of seasonal workers throughout the territory, within the framework of the first summit of the Great Quadrants of Peace Mission, which focuses on ensuring a safe and calm society through a preventive approach, supportive coexistence and community participation.
