INTU carries out a land study in La Guaira in the Mare I and II urban development projects

The National Institute of Urban Land (INTU), is deployed in the Carlos Soublette parish of the state of La Guaira, to carry out a soil study in the Mare I, Mare II and Algarín Paila II urban areas in order to determine the state of the affected areas.

The president of the INTU, Ronald Rivas, in statements to Venezolana de Televisión, stressed that these tasks are carried out by the institution's technical team, in coordination with geologists and civil engineers trained for this task of evaluating soils.

“The Ministry of Habitat and Housing, through the INTU, has deployed all its technical and scientific capacity to evaluate current soil conditions after having experienced this geological situation. It is necessary for us to demonstrate the geological condition of each of these spaces intended for construction, the construction of houses,” he said.

He assured that the evaluation process is carried out through the collection of samples with the heavy machinery found in the territory.

“The samples collected for subsequent analysis in a laboratory, with their reagents required to evaluate the condition of the soil that has certain qualifications. According to them, the project is being surveyed where the load-bearing capacity of each structure to occupy these spaces is determined,” he explained.

For her part, community leader Yusmary Ortega, said that in these communities they have already received a visit and support from the Ministry of People's Power for Housing and Housing and a team of experts who have carried out the corresponding evaluations in the sector.

Ortega also indicated that the State agencies deployed are cleaning, removing debris and making adjustments while waiting for the second day of inspection to assign corresponding colors and determine the level of damage.

The different entities of the Venezuelan State are deployed in various areas of the national territory to guarantee security and comprehensive care for the inhabitants affected by the earthquakes of last June 24.
