Iran: Authorities reveal cause of the fire at Shahid Rayai port

This Tuesday, the committee responsible for investigating the causes of the fire that occurred on April 27 in the Shahid Rayai port of the Islamic Republic of Iran, reported that according to the preliminary results of its investigation, the causes are due to negligence in complying with security and passive defense regulations.

According to information detailed by Telesur, security and judicial authorities in the Islamic Republic of Iran are working to identify those responsible.

He also explained that there is an ongoing investigation focused on the definitive identification of the cause of the incident. This requires a complete and comprehensive analysis of its various dimensions.

The research committee will follow the necessary steps and will report the results to the public as soon as possible.

Iran's Interior Minister, Eskandar Momeni, stated that “negligence” was the reason for the massive explosion in Bandar Abbas.

Cleaning and debris removal operations will still take up around 20 working days at the same time as activities resume at the port.
