Iranian Ambassador: If the West doesn't stop Israel, there will be no peace in the Middle East

In his speech during a meeting between the Foreign Ministry of the Republic and representatives of the Arab community in the country, the Iranian ambassador to Venezuela, Hojjatollah Soltani, stated that a large number of countries in the international community, led by the United States, “are complicit in the crimes” perpetrated by the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu.

In that regard, he warned that if Western nations do not stop Israel's actions, “there will be no peace in the Middle East.”

Soltani, began his presentation by expressing his gratitude to the Bolivarian Government for supporting countries such as Iran, Palestine and Lebanon during the current crisis in the Middle East, and later condemned the war actions of the State of Israel.

He said that Venezuela “not only in word, but in action and in practice, has always been on the side of the struggle for the sovereignty of countries and the right of self-determination of peoples.”

He also argued that “everyone knows that the Middle East for many centuries has been a region of peace and harmony”, and that Palestine was an epicenter of ethnic harmony.

Soltani explained that this situation changed when “illegally a cancerous tumor called Israel formed there,” and from that moment on, the region “entered into conflicts caused by the Zionists' expansionist war policies.”

On the other hand, he mourned the death of political figures from the Axis of Resistance, such as the leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniya and the leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasralah.

He also defended Tehran's recent counteroffensive against Tel Aviv, stressing that his nation “had every possibility to give a strong response to the Israelis, since they have to respect international rights.”

“We join our cries calling on the international community to compel Israel to respect international rights, to respect sovereignty and not to attack neighboring countries. Long live Venezuela! Long live Palestine!” , he said.
