The leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, declared August 21 as World Mosque Day, coinciding with the same date in 1969 when the Al-Aqsa Mosque was the victim of a fire caused by Denis Michael Rohan, an Australian Christian Zionist.
The Al-Aqsa Mosque is considered the third holiest site in the Muslim world and the first Qibla of Muslims, so any aggression against it is considered not only the red line of the Palestinians, but of the entire Muslim world.
