In recent days, there has been an increase in the escalation of violence, robbery and vandalism against Palestinians by Israeli settlers illegally settled in the occupied West Bank.
On Sunday, Israeli settlers attacked Palestinians in the Al-Auja waterfall area in Jericho for the third time in one day. This attack reinforces the historic displacement of families who have lived in the area for generations. A day earlier, under the protection of the Army, the colonists cut off the water supply to the area.
In Salim, west of the occupied city of Nablus, settlers set fire to wheat fields this Sunday, while separate attacks were taking place against Palestinian cattle herders in the northern area of the Jordan Valley.
Last Saturday, May 24, at least 40 dunams of wheat fields were set on fire in the town of Sebastia, near Nablus, by settlers from the Shavei Shomron settlement and a recently established post in the area.
