“If we Venezuelans are sure of one thing, if there is a consensus, it is that our economy can fly free, without ties, without sanctions, without being conditioned on our sale and trade of our energy products and national production.” This was stated this Thursday by the deputy Jorge Arreaza during the Great Pilgrimage for a Venezuela without Sanctions, convened in Caracas by the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez.

Arreaza ruled, at the height of the Botanical Garden, that businessmen have also joined this day because they want the country to “have its arms free to be able to trade and produce”.

In this regard, he added: “The time of sanctions is over, the time of the conflict has passed. That is why today we call for the lifting of sanctions.”

Likewise, the Venezuelan parliamentarian stressed that the President has shown signs of will to strengthen the economy, such as the reform of the Mining Law that she proposed and which was approved by the National Assembly, which helps create paths for national development, and as well as the Amnesty Law, which opens paths politically, she said.

“Investments will come, but that they come with freedom of action, that they come to commit to the Venezuelan government, that they come to provide employment, technology to our productive sector and to our working class,” Arreaza stressed.

He pointed out that the Great Pilgrimage for a Venezuela without Sanctions is nothing more than the Chavista people, “but here there are people without any political tendency, there are people who vote for the Venezuelan opposition, but they are a people who know that the sanction phase has to end.”

Finally, Jorge Arreaza, also rector of the National University of the Communes, revealed that the pilgrimage does not end on April 30, but that it is “the starting point of the cry of Venezuelans to lift sanctions on our economy.”
