“In the coming months, between 2024 and 2025, all elected offices in Venezuela will be renewed, which are elected by direct and secret ballot, according to our constitution,” said the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez.

During a meeting with the media, after the delivery and signing of the document containing the proposals for the electoral calendar, which emerged during the days of dialogue that took place throughout the national territory, Rodríguez stated that “what is to come is very interesting”.

“We decided to remain as an instance of work, coordination and consultation, on the different issues of national life, including the next elections,” said the President of the AN.

In that sense, he argued that the presidential elections will be in 2024, while that of mayors, governorates and the National Assembly will be in 2025.

“Perhaps in a period of less than 12 months, between 2024 and 2025 we will elect president or president, deputy and deputies, governors and mayors or mayors, councilors or councilors,” he explained.
