On the occasion of the Great Pilgrimage United for a Venezuela without Sanctions and in Peace, which began this Sunday, April 19, the president of the National Assembly (AN), deputy Jorge Rodríguez, stressed that it is essential that the Venezuelan people leave aside what divides and seek what unites us.

In that regard, he stressed that it is necessary to fight together, since coercive measures directly affect all Venezuelans and are an obstacle to the country's development and prosperity.

“What unites us is the desire and the project, the hope that young people in Venezuela have to fulfill the slogan, which we have had in this great procession: that Venezuela flies free,” he said in Puerto Ayacucho, in the state of Amazonas, in statements to the media.

In that regard, he affirmed that Venezuela “is embedded in the international community, as a peaceful, sovereign and independent nation.”

He also highlighted the participation of various sectors, including opposition deputies, businessmen, workers, students and indigenous communities, united against sanctions.

Rodríguez stressed that it is necessary to be aware that “they will try to provoke us with messages of hate, of racism, with messages that seek to continue dividing us. Those who persist in hatred, extremism and racism, well, let them pay for their karma themselves, because all this consumes the one who expresses it.”
