Jorge Rodríguez: Electoral schedule approved by the CNE complies with the Barbados Agreement

After learning that July 28, 2024 is the date for the presidential elections announced by the National Electoral Council (CNE), the president of the National Assembly (AN), Deputy Jorge Rodríguez, welcomed this decision.

In this regard, he stressed that this unanimous approval of the CNE on the electoral schedule “is contained in the Barbados Agreement and the Caracas Agreement.”

In addition, he sent a strong message to the opposition sector: “Those who didn't buy espadrilles when we warned them, hurry up because they are going to get more expensive starting today because of information issued by the National Electoral Council (CNE)”.

1. 2024 Presidential Election: July 28, 2024

2. Call for the process: March 5

3. Special Registration Day from 18/03 to 16/04/24

4. Preliminary Electoral Registration Court: 16/04/24

5. Candidate Registration: 21 to 25/03/24

6. Election campaign: July 4 to 25, 2024
