All the constructions that are built in Venezuela must be done from the perspective that this is a seismic country, crossed by two important faults, and therefore its structures must be able to withstand earthquakes, said the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez.

In this regard, during the plenary session of the AN this Tuesday, Rodríguez demanded to stop with opinion matrices that seek to show that the only buildings affected by the earthquake were those of the Great Venezuela Housing Mission.

“There will always be racism, discrimination, that what is ugly and what is bad is the Great Housing Mission, it is the home of those who had nothing and came to have an apartment, equipment, life, because of this great mission,” he criticized.

On the other hand, Rodríguez denied information about the National Government's alleged refusal to receive aid from some nations. “I was at the side of President Rodríguez in the early morning of June 24 and there was not a call that I didn't answer, whatever that president was called, there wasn't a single help I didn't accept because it wasn't the time to put the diatribe ahead, it was the time to put the pain of the people of Venezuela first,” he said, while stressing that no representative of another nation was denied entry to the country that would like to come.

“We will see how the pain that grips our souls today will be for rebirth. Rebirths are painful but then comes joy, happiness, tenderness, and life,” he emphasized.
