In view of the elections on July 27, the Simón Bolívar Great Patriotic Pole (GPPSB) managed to change the way electoral campaigns are carried out, deepening the rapprochement between revolutionary candidates and the people, said Jorge Rodríguez, the head of the Ven 25+ Campaign Command.
“We, by order of President Maduro, changed the way we view electoral campaigns. People have gone to the houses, to the streets, they haven't put up posters and massive events,” he said, while stressing that the standard-bearers of the Revolution in the areas affected by the rains have dedicated themselves, beyond campaigning, to helping the inhabitants of these localities.
Also, during a press conference held this Monday, Rodríguez indicated that in the elections next Sunday the two ways of seeing democracy will converge, participatory democracy colliding with leading democracy.
“We are making history. This Sunday's election, for the first time, allows two ways of seeing democracy to come together. On the one hand, there is representative democracy with the election of mayors and councilors, and on the other, democracy is the protagonist,” he said.
In the same way, he stressed that it is a historic fact that for the first time, on July 27, the people will vote to choose youth projects to serve their communities.
