The main difficulty faced by Venezuelan businessmen in contributing to the country's productive development are the sanctions imposed by the United States, said the president of the Legislative Branch, Jorge Rodríguez.

“We approved, in 2023, a Tax Harmonization Law that sought to avoid double or triple taxes that can be 'exhausting', onerous for the business community, but now the main difficulty faced by the business community is sanctions,” he said during a meeting with businessmen and religious who are joining the pilgrimage for a Venezuela free of sanctions, in the state of Bolivar.

In this regard, he called on the different sectors of the country to join the demands for the lifting of the sanctions that have done so much damage to our country.

“The time has come to turn the page on differences and think about what are the things in which we are similar, what are the things we share. We have to agree to demand that, once and for all and for all, Venezuela can fly free and without economic sanctions or sanctions of any kind so that we can develop the economy,” he said.

In the same way, he highlighted the ethnic and cultural diversity that exists in Venezuela and pointed out the need to prevent “political calculations” by extremist sectors from jeopardizing tranquility, peace, the Republic, sovereignty and independence.

“Never again on January 3rd. But we have to build that vaccine from this pilgrimage, from this journey. If it should happen that we make a mistake or come out with a distemperance, point it out for us to rectify. This is so that when prosperity comes, when our children grow up free, prosperous they say this was not always the case, say my dad, my mom teamed up with those on the opposite sidewalk to achieve this result,” he stressed.
