Jorge Rodríguez: The next 15D will be a tool for peace in Venezuela

This Wednesday, December 4th, the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, reported that this coming December 15 , the election of more than 30,000 communal judges of the peace, with their corresponding alternates, will take place.

In this regard, during a press conference, he pointed out that it will be possible to choose between “one or three candidates and the first three most voted will be the three communal judges of the peace in their corresponding communal circuit in their capacity as principal judges and the fourth, fifth and sixth most voted will be the substitute judges”.

“There will be nothing unusual here, whoever gets the most votes will be the first main vote, the second vote the second and the third the third, and in this way a powerful tool for peace in Venezuela will be formed,” he said.

He reaffirmed that these judges will prevent conflicts in communities from escalating. In addition, he pointed out that these judges will be accompanied in their work by the Supreme Court of Justice, bodies that will provide him with a training course and a space for people to know where they can settle their matters.

“As of December 16, we will have elected, by direct and secret vote, the more than 30,000 judges of the communal peace, who will fulfill their function of accompanying the People in this unfounded struggle for peace,” he said.
