The Carter Center's chief advisor for Latin America, Jennie Lincoln, put herself at the mercy of Venezuelan extremism to try to attack our country, said the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez.

“That lady, muddying up the legacy and good name of a worthy person like Jimmy Carter, while he is under the care of his 100 years of age, put herself at the mercy of the extremism of the Venezuelan right, that's what 28-J came to. She is the employee of USAID,” Rodríguez said in statements offered after the first meeting held by the commission that reviews electoral laws.

In addition, the president of the Legislative Branch reiterated the complaint of the Carter Center's connection with the plans of violence and electoral fraud maintained by the extreme right after the presidential election of last July 28.

In this regard, he showed a series of messages he received from Lincoln, prior to the electoral elections, to meet. “We didn't meet because we knew he was coming to do the errand to the extreme right. The same stupid acts of María Corina Machado, which we have already collapsed, are being shown there by the USAID employee,” he said.
