The president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, urged the sectors of the national extreme right to abandon “rudeness and racism” and to sit down and discuss with all sectors of the country various issues of national interest.

In statements made this Wednesday, Rodríguez highlighted that the agreement signed between the revolutionary forces and sectors of the national opposition to bring to the CNE a proposal for tentative dates for the 2024 presidential elections confirms that there is a reality in the country that demonstrates that these groups “with surnames” are a minority.

In this regard, he stressed that the document, which will be submitted to the CNE in the coming days, brings together the opinion of 97 percent of the political parties in Venezuela and all the sectors that live in the country.

“They have two options: either they continue with their lies, their racism and believing that only white people and those with surnames are the only political sector that lives in the country; or they come face to face with the reality that is expressed in this agreement,” Rodríguez stressed.
