The head of the VEN25+ Campaign Command, Jorge Rodríguez, confirmed the commitment of the revolutionary forces to work together with the People to consolidate democracy in the country, given the resounding victory won by Chavism in the municipal elections this Sunday, July 27.
During a press conference, Rodríguez emphasized that, after the successful results in the elections, “we have an immense commitment to fulfill our only promise: We are going to be with the people, to deepen democracy, to strengthen communal circuits and to resolve things with the people.”
He highlighted that the revolutionary forces won 285 of the 335 mayors of the country, achieving victory in 23 of the 24 state capitals.
“There is still a lack of a mayor's office in the state of Barinas, whose tendency is not irreversible, that's why 285 + 49 equals 334, and if we win that mayor's office in Barinas, which we have a very high probability of winning it, we set up 286 mayors. Look at what it says here. We devastated,” he said.
