Jorge Rodríguez: With the formation of the CBBI, the PSUV transcends its eminently electoral function

The vice-president of Communication and Electoral Affairs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Jorge Rodríguez, said that organizing the bases to form the Bolivarian Revolution was one of Commander Hugo Chávez's dreams.

In this regard, he affirmed that Commander Chávez always proposed the formation of the Bolivarian Integral Base Committees (CBBI) as an organization of the People in favor of peace, defense, democracy and the development of the Homeland.

He explained that with the formation of the CBBI, the PSUV transcends the fact “eminently electoral, of the organizational bases with which Chavism had moved, which transcends an action of maturity, to make the Revolution, not just to participate in the elections.”

In segment 5T: Political Transformation and Popular Power, in the program With Maduro+, conducted by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, in the 97th edition, Rodríguez pointed out that with the CBBI, “a great social, political and defense network for the entire country is generated, that is what fascists and extremists cannot measure”.

“The Militias are added, everything adds up to keep the peace of the Republic,” he said.

He also indicated that they have already moved on to the next stage, which is the formation of Community Coordinations.

“From the street headquarters, we are moving to a cellular organization of a group that easily exceeds 9, 10 or 12 people for each of the Bolivarian Integral Base Committees, which are going to work locally with the community, the communes. It is the true construction of the democracy of the future,” he explained.
