During her participation in the program Sin Truco Ni Maña, Telesur journalist Marcela Heredia denounced the situation suffered by the Palestinian people, calling it an “atrocity” and “the clearest demonstration of what an empire can do when it acts as hegemonic”.

In her statements, Heredia emphasized that the suffering of thousands of Palestinian children, empty-handed and with pots searching for food, represents an image that challenges all of humanity.

“It's not just Israel. The United States is behind. And there are the countries that do business providing weapons to that army. Not that it's going to happen to the other one. It's going to happen to all of us,” he warned.

Heredia recalled other incidents of intervention and destabilization: “What happened in Libya, what the Vietnamese people suffered, are colonial wounds that have not yet been resolved. And now they intend to do the same with Venezuela.”

The journalist emphasized that in all these cases, the common actor has been the United States, whose foreign policy, in her opinion, has been characterized by intimidation, the dismantling of sovereign states and the imposition of models alien to local realities.
