The Judicial Nominations Committee announced this Thursday a new extension for the reception of files from legal professionals who aspire to hold positions within the Judiciary.

The decision was informed by the president of this body, the deputy Giusseppe Alessandrello, who seeks to facilitate the process for all interested parties.

Regarding this measure, Deputy Giusseppe Alessandrello explained that the extension responds to the technical and time difficulties faced by some applicants: “Those interested in applying, who were unable to do so due to lack of time to collect their documents, will be able to register their files until next Wednesday, June 17.”

This call has set an important precedent for the Venezuelan judicial system, reaching unprecedented participation figures, as specified by Deputy Alessandrello, adding that the process marks “a historic milestone for the institution, given that 613 citizens have applied”.

Of the 613 applicants, 523 are seeking the position of magistrates, 56 have applied for the General Inspectorate of Courts and 30 are aspiring to the management of the School of the Judiciary.
