Labor Day shakes Europe with labor demands and clashes

Thousands of workers took to the streets of Europe this May Day to demand labor and social improvements.

In France, the protests led to violent clashes with the police, especially in Paris and Lyon, where security forces used tear gas to disperse the demonstrators.

The mobilizations were driven by a trade union coalition that seeks to claim the right to decent wages and social protection.

In this regard, union leader Sophie Binet highlighted the wage crisis and the need to put workers at the center of the political debate.

Meanwhile, in Germany, Spain, Italy and Greece, unions called for more equitable working conditions and social justice.
