Leangel Linarez led the third stage of the Tour of Venezuela

The rider Leangel Linarez, from the Tavfer-Ovos Matinados team, climbed to the top of the podium on the third day of the Vuelta a Venezuela after leading the chapter that closed in the town of Santa Elena de Arenales, in the state of Mérida, at 3 hours 24 minutes 35 seconds.

The route extended 141 kilometers from the town of Lagunillas and included three mountain passes and four sprints, two of them with bonus, on the route.

The podium was completed by Colombian Cristián Daamián Vélez (Shimano) in second place and José Domínguez awarded him the first podium in the return of the Cuban team when he occupied third place, according to the Ministry of Sport press report.

This third chapter of the return rearranged some of the jersey classifications. Colombian representative Cristián Damián Vélez (GW Erco — Shimano) leads the points and sprints section with 31 and 19 units respectively.

While the mountain category is under the control of Franklin Chacón from Lotería del Táchira with 13 points and Luis Mora from the Trujillo Government obtains the leader's jersey for the second consecutive day with a cumulative score of 11:39.01.

The fourth stage of the Vuelta a Venezuela moves to the city of Valera, Trujillo, for a 126 km circuit with a route consisting of 2,300 meters of unevenness and three third-rate ascents to the height of Los Ilustres Park.
