Learn how to choose your community's justices of the peace

This Sunday, December 15, Venezuelans are called to participate in the election process of more than 15,000 justices of the peace throughout the national territory, an action that marks a new milestone in participatory and leading democracy that continues to strengthen on the basis of the People.
For this new act of suffrage in the country, the National Electoral Council (CNE) set up voting centers in the more than 5 thousand community circuits that opened their doors from 8:00am and will continue to receive voters until 6:00pm.
Here are the steps to follow to participate:
- The voting process will be manual.
- Voters must choose up to three justices of the peace, with their respective alternates.
- For this election, people over 15 years of age who live in the territorial area are called to participate.
- To exercise suffrage, the voter must go to the voting center with their laminated identity card, which may or may not have expired.
- For this election, 4,817 voting centers were set up in the different communes and communal circuits across the country.
- For those who want to know more about the electoral process, information can be obtained through the 8-800 votemos (8683667) of the National Electoral Council.
