The intensity of the attacks perpetrated by Israel on Lebanese territory reached a new peak of violence this Friday, leaving at least 23 people dead and 98 injured in a single day.

According to the latest report issued by the Lebanese Ministry of Health, air raids have hit various strategic and residential points, aggravating the humanitarian crisis that the nation is going through.

This recent escalation brings the total number of fatalities to 1,368 since the start of hostilities on March 2. The official count of the health authorities also reflects the magnitude of the emergency with a cumulative number of 4,138 injured, many of whom have critical conditions that have saturated hospitals in the areas of greatest conflict.

The Ministry of Health has warned that the healthcare system is operating under extreme pressure, facing a shortage of basic medical supplies to meet the constant arrival of patients. Local authorities have urgently called on the international community to manage humanitarian corridors and technical assistance to mitigate the impact of the bombings on the civilian population.

In the midst of this devastating scenario, the mass displacement of families continues to increase as rescue teams work against the clock in the rubble. The international community notes with concern this increase in violence, which marks one of the most lethal periods for the country in recent decades, with no immediate ceasefire in sight for now.
