In Plaza Bolívar in Caracas, more than 1,500 workers from the Ministry of Productive Agriculture and Lands participated in the second National Enlistment Day, in support of President Nicolás Maduro's call for comprehensive defense of the country, Minister Julio León Heredia reported.

Heredia emphasized that this commitment is part of the patriotic responsibility that the productive sector assumes in these times of historic transformation.

“In addition to guaranteeing national production and agro-food sovereignty, our workers are preparing to defend this homeland, together with the productive actor that represents the Venezuelan peasantry,” he said.

The minister emphasized the fundamental role of producers and peasants in the country's economic and social development, while affirming his historic leadership in the struggles for independence and social justice.

The peasantry has been the historical subject that accompanied Bolivar, Zamora, Cipriano Castro, and who today continues to fly the Chávez flag with President Nicolás Maduro,” he said.
