Liga FUTVE announces the restart of its activities and confirms its social commitment after a double earthquake

The Venezuelan Football League (FUTVE League), after closely following the events following the earthquakes of June 24, announced the resumption of its activities, on July 25 for the Third Round of the 2026 Season of the FUTVE 2 League and on July 31, the 2026 Clausura Tournament of the First Division will start.

Through a statement published on its social networks, the FUTVE League confirmed that they are not indifferent to the feelings of “our people”, however, it emphasized that professional football is not just entertainment, it is also the livelihood of thousands of homes throughout Venezuela and that it contributes significantly to the comprehensive training of young talent and active regional economies with the constant investment of its clubs in hotels, transportation and food.

“In the FUTVE League we are not indifferent to the feelings of our people and we are following closely the development of events after the earthquake of June 24. Solidarity and empathy are the hallmark of Venezuelans and in the face of adversity it was demonstrated once again. The football family is very much in mind in their thoughts and prayers to all those affected and we remember that a helping hand is that important encouragement that can transmit calm and strength.

Professional football is not just entertainment, it is also the livelihood of thousands of homes across Venezuela, it contributes significantly to the comprehensive training of young talent and activates regional economies with the constant investment of their clubs in hotels, transportation and food.

For this reason, understanding our social commitment and with the conviction that sport is also a tool for union, improvement and a necessary space for leisure and emotional relaxation for society in complex moments, we inform that on July 25, the Third Round of the 2026 Season of the FUTVE 2 League will begin and on July 31, the 2026 Closing Tournament of the FUTVE League will start.

Soon you will be able to reconnect with your passion, but neither you nor we will leave aside those who need us. This is the most important game and every Venezuelan is playing it.”
