Lissandro Rivero won 3 gold medals and set a new national record for under-20 weights

The weightlifter Lissandro Rivero won three gold medals and demolished the national records of the 65 kg division, during the second day of the Under-20 National Weightlifting Championship, at the Carlos Sánchez gymnasium in Coro, Falcón state.
At the start, he managed to lift 125 kg to overcome the previous record of 123 kg set by Dionangel Vargas in the 2025 Junior Pan American Games. With this record, the gold medal was awarded.
The silver went to the capital's Alis Beroes (115 kg), while bronze went to Moisés Espinosa (105 kg) from Carabobeño.
In the challenge, Rivero needed only two attempts to secure another gold medal, lifting 151 kg, thus surpassing the national record of 150 kg also held by Vargas. Alis Beroes repeated with silver, registering 140 kg, and bronze went to the Carabobeño Espinosa, with 131 kg.
With an Olympic total of 276 kg, Rivero became the absolute champion of the category, winning his third gold medal in the competition with another new national record. The podium was completed by Alis Beroes (255 kg, silver) and Moisés Espinosa (236 kg, bronze).
