Lotería del Táchira declared assets of the entity on its 99th anniversary of operation

The Official Institute of Public Benedicence and Social Assistance, Lotería del Táchira, is now the entity's assets by decision of the Legislative Council or on purpose 99 years after its creation.

“99 years at the service of citizens, with commitment, efficiency and social care, in every solidarity deployment in the 29 municipalities of the Andean entity. We are a family that reaches out to the medical, therapeutic, mobility and other contributions that are available in social care,” said the first lady of the state, Karem Durán, during the special session.

Regarding the goals achieved by the institute during the year 2024, technical and human aid stand out. Wheelchairs, surgical interventions and other requests made by the population are met, “we are still working to care for women, men, girls, boys, young people and older adults,” said Duran.

A people's lottery

The president of the lottery body, Marcos Albarrán, proudly referred to the recovery process. “The previous regional government left all spaces in ruins and in a precarious situation. The building where the headquarters works was dark, many wanted to close it and with the help of Governor Freddy Bernal it was decided to bring it afloat. It was recovered, through the constant work of a human team that joined the volunteering to optimize each phase of the process of what is now, once again, the Lotería del Táchira, an institution serving the people.”

Social care planning and features continue to be implemented through a work methodology that guarantees successful results with medical tours, general medicine, internal medicine, dentistry, care for pregnant women and people in vulnerable situations.

“We have more than 23,000 people served through different programs, including mobile clinics; coordination with the Tachirense Family Foundation; more than 1,300 direct aid, both human and technical. Dentistry, surgical procedures, lenses, exploratory studies”.

Another aspect highlighted by Albarrán has to do with the incorporation into the General Staff of Health. From there, they have made contributions to recover power plants, luminaires, air conditioners and ambulances from the main hospitals in the entity.

Regarding the product portfolio, Alb Barrán asserted that it is one of the strongest in the country. “We are in first place, not only because of the quality of the products, but also because of the consistency over time. Those that have been generated have positioned themselves in the market and continue to grow, unlike other examples that after two or three months have had to close them”.
