Venezuelan Luis Sangel Arráez interrupted the longest streak in the last 20 years in Major League Baseball by leaving 141 at-bats without strikeouts.

This figure is the longest according to specialized media since Dominican Juan Pierre accumulated 147 rounds without striking out in the 2004 season.

The fan is the first since August 10 and occurred in the third inning of the Padres' game against the Astros on Monday night at Petco Park.

“La Regadera” left his batting average at .321 this season and is firmly on track for his third batting crown in the US Major Leagues.
